Listed below are some hand-picked solutions from clients I've worked with in the past. I've included a short background of the client, a brief description of each solution, and links to websites where you can view my work (if applicable).

Montgomery Inn, Inc.

Background:

If you haven't ever tried the ribs at Montgomery Inn, you don't know what you're missing. Based in Montgomery, OH, they have been rated by Restaurants & Institutions Magazine (the restaurant industry's leading trade publication) as the #1 independent rib restaurant and the #1 independent restaurant featuring barbecue ... in the entire United States!

Solution:

Integration of new website & on-line payment processor with back-end Domino Order System. In short, I wrote a CGI script using LotusScript that processes the results of an on-line transaction and creates the appropriate entries in their back-end Domino system. I also wrote a UPS tracking Java agent updates customer orders hourly with the current UPS shipping status. Additional work was done to improve application response time, system resource utilization, and overall network performance.

Notes:

The URL referenced above does not reflect any UI web design that I have done. In other words, you will not "see" the results of my work anywhere on their site. However, keep an eye out for a new shopping cart designed and implemented by yours truly. Coming soon: Feb 2002.

Uniform Code Council, Inc.

Background:

The UCC is a nonprofit organization based in Princeton, NJ. And although you may not know it, I guarantee you've seen their product before. Next time you're at the store, pick your favorite item and look for the bar code. Among other things, the UCC manages membership and applications for bar code numbers. As of 31 DEC 2001, their membership count was approaching 267,000. When I began to work with the UCC in 1997, their membership was a mere 192,000.

Solution:

I've had such a long standing relationship with the UCC, that summarizing my work is a bit difficult, so I'll just hit the highlights:
* Development of a web-based EDI Membership/Customer Information Center.
* Development of a web-based system used to track changes to managed standards.
* Please see My Resume for additional information.

XHS 1991 Reunion

Background:

I graduated in 1991 from Xenia High School, and when our 10 Year Reunion Committee contacted me and asked if I knew any web developers, I couldn't resist. This site was designed on my free time, and I hope to add to it over the years as we have other reunions.

Solution:

This is a fairly straight-forward site. I've tended to use it as a "proving grounds" to try out new technologies, and use it to show off what I can do.

A.F. Kelly & Associates

Background:

A.F. Kelly & Associates is a technology consulting company that I worked for as a Lotus Notes Consultant for about 4 years before becoming an independent.

Solution:

While at AFK, I implemented Notes 4.6 for them in-house, and also migrated them to R5 when it came out. I have also created numerous internal applications such as Time & Expense Reporting, Personnel database, Prospects database, System Inventory and Census database, and various others. Unfortunately, as internal applications, there is not an available URL to demonstrate my work. I will work on making the generic templates available on this site sometime in the near future.
